Workshop/ Taster Days
Workshops are a great opportunity to come along, get creative and ‘have a go’ at woodworking.
They’re also a good introduction as a ‘Taster Day’ to the full tuition courses that include more detailed instruction and use of a wider range of tools and techniques.
No previous woodworking experience is needed as you will be guided through the processes to make one of the various projects, using a variety of hand tools.
Instruction is given in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, where there will be no more than four participants per Workshop to allow for maximum individual attention.
There are drinks making facilities at the Dovetail workshop for tea/coffee & biscuit/snack breaks.
For lunch; Norbury Wharf Ltd operate a tearoom where you will be able to buy food to eat there or bring back to the workshop. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat within the workshop. Although there are no dedicated eating facilities at the workshop, each bench has a stool to be able to rest your legs.
Toilets are adjacent to the tearoom which is approximately 100 yards from the workshop.
Each workbench has a small lockable cupboard for the secure storage of personal belongings.
Free off road parking available.
Unfortunately, at this time, the courses are not suitable for individuals with physical/mobility difficulties that would preclude them from standing and working at a bench.
