Shaker Door - 1 Day
A simple Shaker style door can be one of the most effective ways of creating an elegant cupboard whether large or small, for projects such as wardrobes, kitchens, bookcases and other types of storage unit.
The course includes not only making a door but also hinging using traditional cabinet butt hinges. When set within a carcass, the door could be held closed with the insertion of small disc magnets.
The door will be made of Scots Pine frame with a pine veneered panel.

Materials: 20mm Pine (redwood) boarding / pine veneered MDF
Course Content: The following elements will be included on this course:-
Sorting and marking out of components
Use of palm/trimmer router
Use of sliding mitre saw
Use of bandsaw
Use of various hand tools
Gluing and cramping
Fitting of butt hinges
Discussion of other methods of cabinet construction
